Vega Has Undertaken Several Societal Development Projects.

Our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) stems from our philosophy of realizing our moral imperative for the society we function in. We extend support to our operating markets through our dedicated CSR program that centers around the multi-faceted essentials of youth.

Beijing Olympics, 2008

Sports are all about celebrating moments of youthful drive beating the odds. Vega Foods and its distributors liaised with the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) to support its team at the Beijing Olympics. We dedicated our efforts to athletics, boxing, handball and other lesser developed sports. Becoming one of the official sponsors for Ghana was appreciated by the local authorities, as well as Comité International Olympique (CIO) / International Olympics Committee (IOC) through commemorative medals and awards.

Football in Botswana

In 2014, Vega Foods also realised the scope for sports in Botswana, which like most parts of Africa, is hindered by insufficient resources. Vega sponsored the talented league team – Mochudi Centre Chiefs Sporting Council received jerseys, equipment, and funding for training. This initiative boosted their drive for victory, emerging as champions during the same year.

A Vega CSR initiate in Ghana

In 2018, A Vega CSR initiate in Ghana – at the Adabraka Presbyterian Basic School in Accra. The quotes on the importance of education by Kofi Adnan, Hellen Keller, Aristotle, James Dewar, Benjamin Franklin, Socrates, Leonardo da Vinci were chosen, not just to inspire the students but also the pedestrians. We have many initiatives planned centred around children that will be unveiled in the months and years ahead.
